Years ago, Jimi from Barley’s Pizza had a vision. He saw Asheville’s brewing potential and hired Moonshiner Gary (yes, that’s me!) to help put Asheville on the beer map. We hustled, we marketed, and we built something incredible. And guess what? We won the Beer City USA title—again and again!

This isn’t just an event; this is my heritage, my legacy. We fought for this title, we earned it, and we will not allow it to go down the drain.

So, this Beer Week, we’re calling on all craft beer lovers, industry pros, and Asheville supporters to come together. This is your chance to be part of something bigger than just a festival—it’s about saving and celebrating Asheville’s beer culture for generations to come.
