Centered in the charming town of Weaverville, North Carolina, Eluvium Brewing Company has become a cornerstone of the local craft beer scene. Founded in 2016 by Jon and Shea Varner, the brewery opened its doors to the public in the fall of 2017. In 2024, ownership transitioned to close friends and long-time supporters, John and Danyel Arrants, who continue the mission of crafting high-quality beers for the community.

Complementing their craft beers, Eluvium’s kitchen is open six days a week, serving a menu that pairs perfectly with their brews. From hearty meals to lighter fare, there’s something to satisfy every palate. On Tuesdays, when the kitchen is closed, they host food trucks, adding variety to the dining experience.

Please note that the kitchen closes thirty minutes before the brewery’s closing time.

A Nod to North Carolina’s Gold Rush History

The name “Eluvium” is inspired by North Carolina’s rich history as the nation’s leading producer of gold before the famous California gold rush. In geology, “eluvium” refers to gold deposits that remain after the surrounding soil and sediment have been washed away, symbolizing something rare and valuable left behind after time and effort—much like the exceptional beers they craft.
